FIXED, SEMI-STATIC & TRANSPORTABLE SATELLITE BROADBAND SYSTEMS
Satellite broadband systems are
independent from any terrestrial
infrastructure and therefore very popular
in places where traditional broadband is unavailable, it is not reliable
enough for businesses or simply impossible to install, e.g. mobile
offices/homes, open air shows, construction sites and other places wanting
temporary or seasonal broadband usage.
GCTL offers choice of four different systems to match your requirements:
1. Tripod or wall/roof mounted satellite dish – economic solution ideal for
homes or offices where broadband needs to be delivered to a static location.
2. Mobile-arm satellite systems fixed to roofs of vehicles – often seen with mobile libraries as internet access is required at different locations. Idle system folds flat on roof and when activated, searches for satellite and logs onto the system within 3-5 minutes.
3. Semi-Static Wireless Access Trailer – static system is built into a trailer, which can be transported to any location. For more information, see Services Section “Emergency Trailer”.
4. Standby Satellite Broadband for DSL failure – backup for your standard broadband system; described separately in Services Section “Standby Satellite”.
GCTL provides complete service from site survey and equipment installation to
cable/ wireless network design and implementation on site. Each system allows
additional media operation like IP cameras or Internet telephony. IT Support for
the systems is then available 24/7.
